As Project Control Manager on the Waikato 50 project, I worked closely with Andy who held the project planner role. As a $150m drought response project which had to be designed, consented, procured, constructed, and commissioned in just 12 months (a process that would typically take 4 years), the effective management of the project programme was critical to the project success. Andy was extremely knowledgeable in the practice of planning and quickly established a programme review cycle that allowed us to capture programme data accurately, measure variance, and report this effectively to the project execution and management teams. This robust review cycle also provided excellent historical data on delays and mitigations throughout the project and allowed us to justify EoT claims with the client. Andy is a brilliant planner who is always willing to consider a request and develop a solution to provide the information requested. He will do so collaboratively, diligently, to a high standard, and deliver on time. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Andy on this project and would like to work with him again.
